Insurance & Payment Options
We proudly accept:
Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, Health New England, MassHealth, Tufts Health Plan, UMR, UnitedHealthcare, WellSense
At Therapeutic Behavioral Interventions (TBI), we work with most major insurance plans and offer flexible payment options to help make care more accessible. Insurance participation can vary by clinician. Our team will help match you with a provider who accepts your insurance whenever possible.
MassHealth Accepted
We're pleased to share that TBI accepts MassHealth.
This allows us to provide therapy and counseling services to more children, teens, adults, and families throughout Western Massachusetts. If you've been looking for a provider who accepts MassHealth, we'd love to help you get started.
Out-of-Network Benefits
Don't see your insurance listed?
Many clients use out-of-network benefits to receive reimbursement for therapy services. Depending on your plan, you may be eligible to recover a portion of your session costs.
We can provide:
Detailed superbills for reimbursement
Documentation requested by your insurance company
Assistance navigating out-of-network benefits
Single Case Agreements
In certain situations, we may be able to work with your insurance company through a Single Case Agreement (SCA).
A Single Case Agreement is a special arrangement between a provider and insurance company that allows services to be covered even when the provider is not in-network.
Eligibility varies by insurance plan and clinical need. Our team can discuss whether an SCA may be appropriate for your situation.
Private Pay
Some clients choose to pay directly for services rather than use insurance.
Private pay offers additional flexibility, privacy, and freedom from insurance requirements regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, or session limits.
If you're interested in private pay services, please contact our office to discuss current rates and availability.
Our Commitment to Accessible Care
At Therapeutic Behavioral Interventions, we believe high-quality mental health care should be available to everyone.
That's why we're committed to accepting a wide range of insurance plans, expanding access through MassHealth, and helping clients navigate out-of-network options whenever possible. We know that seeking support takes courage, and financial barriers shouldn't stand in the way of getting help.
We are proud to serve individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, identities, cultures, and life experiences. Our team is dedicated to creating an inclusive, affirming environment where every person feels respected, understood, and supported.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.
No Surprises Act
The No Surprises Act was implemented on January 1, 2022 to help protect individuals obtaining emergency medical services from receiving larger than expected bills after undergoing medical care (potentially from out-of-network providers). We don’t perform emergency services. However, we are still required to inform you of your rights.
Your rights and protections against surprise medical bills can be found by clicking on the below button. As a general policy, we believe in being as forthcoming as possible when it comes to billing and charges. We are currently in network with Aetna
If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our front office directly and we will be more than happy to address your questions.
