Khiara Velez, MSW
Hi, I’m Khiara Velez. I’m a compassionate clinician who holds a Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in children and families. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish and is dedicated to providing culturally responsive care to individuals and families across diverse backgrounds.
I have over two and a half years of experience working in both school-based and outpatient settings, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, behavioral and emotional regulation difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and substance use disorders. I’m passionate about helping clients build coping skills, strengthen emotional wellness, and improve daily functioning in a supportive and collaborative environment.
My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy techniques, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique developmental and emotional needs. I provide both in-person and telehealth services to increase accessibility and flexibility for clients and families.
